7th Gen Coupe Window Molding Clips

I've used this forum for months now, finding a lot of info on questions I've had. However, this question calls for my first post. I am ordering the outside, bottom window molding from Majestic. This will be my 4th order from them; nice site. The exact item is #4 in the link here. I've found a lot of information in the forums about installation and removal, but none seem to address this. According to Majestic's form, 8 of the clips(#10) are required for installation. My question is, are the clips only necessary if the existing clips are damaged? Or, once you remove the old molding, are new clips required because the old clips are no good after removal? Also, since 8 are required, is this assuming 4 per door, or are 8 used for each door?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

if it is an old molding (chances are it is if youre replacing it), then some of the clips might crack coming off and the molding will not sit perfectly in place.

If you're careful, you can save the clips.. depends on how evenly you apply pressure, etc. I recently removed that trim on my car, and I bought some new clips in preparation for breaking several. Turns out, I only had to replace the first clip I popped because I just wasn't careful enough with it.
The clips are cheap, and your local Honda should have 'em in stock if you need.

Yes, 4 per door. 8 represents the total number needed for the car. I wish someone would have told me before I spent an extra $30 on exhaust bolts. lol

Re: 7th Gen Coupe Window Molding Clips

Thank you for the responses! I actually called Majestic. The new moldings ship with 4 new clips already attached to the piece. I received the pieces today, and can confirm. So, orders from Majestic include the clips, at least for the 7th Gen Coupe. The exact part numbers were 72410-S5P-A00 and 71450-S5P-A00. Install went flawlessly, thanks to the advice in other threads.
