Should I trust my car for a trip this summer?
Should I trust my car for a trip this summer?
Car: 2001 Honda Civic Ex 135k miles.
Replacements:
Transmission(2/15/10)
TDC Sensor and Crank Position Sensor (March 2010)
I'll be driving my car from Missouri to Florida this summer (about a 13hour drive) and I'm a little paranoid so I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that my car can make it!
The car doesn't seem to shift as well as it use to with the original transmission as I feel a few jerks here and there on the lower gears.
Anything I should do to make sure my car can make it to Florida or should I just rent a car? Thanks!

Re: Should I trust my car for a trip this summer?
I would trust it aslong as the service is up to date. The timing belt and water pump have been replaced. You have already faced the other common issues with this year model. Put it this way I just purchased my 2001 civic with 144K on it. Replaced the timing belt and water pump and motor mounts the first week. As far as the vibration or noise try checking all the motor mounts and trans mounts. This is another common item needing replacement around this age and mileage.
