P-0141 Wont Go Away!
P-0141 Wont Go Away!
Hi guys, I'd really appreciate it if you could give me your input here.
I have a 2003 LX with an Canadian SI (American EK) D17 VTEC Swap.
I'm fixing my car up to pass Provincial inspection, and only one thing remains- P-0141, bank 1, sensor 2 heater circuit.
Sure!, No problem, the 02 Sensor must be dead, right?
Wrong, tried 3 already.
Wiring? Maybe, that's all screwed up, so we ran wires DIRECTLY from the computer to the sensor to troubleshoot, and still, nothing.
Now, I found this piece of info on the net, and am thinking it could be my solution?
"This code means that the heated circuit in the oxygen sensor on bank 1 decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0141. See also: P0135 (Bank 1, Sensor 1)."
I think that my Temp sensor might be iffy, could this have anything to do with it?
The code comes on after about 30 seconds of revving, 60 seconds of idle time.
Thanks
