Flushed the radiator, and now something's wrong..
Hi guys,
today I decided to make it a car maintenance day, and obviously everything didn't go well.
So I flushed my power steering fluid by emptying and filling the reservoir a couple of times, which pretty much did the job.
Also, I've decided to flush the radiator by simply replacing the old fluid that was in with OEM honda fluid. I opened the valve in the bottom, let it drain, and filled it again.
It squeezed the hoses a couple times to get most of the air off of them and added some more coolant in the mean time.
I think there, my mistake was that I turned on the car until it heated up, but did not turn the heater on. I went for a little ride and my car doesn't seem to overheat.
When I rev up the engine from idle, I hear kind of a bubble sound coming from the engine bay. It really sounds like there is air the hoses or somewhere in the system. When I'm looking at the engine bay, I hear no bubbles...but when I'm IN the car, I hear it...
So I jacked the nose of the car up, turned the car and the heater on full blast, waited for the fan to come on many many times, and added fluid when it dropped a bit. But then, even though no more fluid can get it, I still hear the bubble sound when I rev it up from idle. I did that last procedure 2-3 times: went for a ride, jacked the nose, waited for the fan to come on, added a little bit of fluid (even if there is just a really small quantity that goes in), and on and on...
I don't want to screw up components of the cooling system nor my engine!
Is that normal to hear these bubbles after the flush has been done?
If not, what else should I do to get rid of the air?
I think I put about a gallon in the reservoir, so there should not be missing too much fluid...
Thanks for your help!

Its not that big of a deal as long as your not overheating. Does your heat work ok, it could just be tiny air pockets in your heater core. They will go away over time, as long as everything works I wouldnt worry. Usually whenever you refill coolant this happens.

I guess I'll wait a couple of days and see what happens.

Re: Flushed the radiator, and now something's wrong..
i did the same thing, i had to bleed the air 5 times and the last two times the front was up higher parked on an incline. i got as much air out as possible with heat on full and engine warmed up, but i still had some air noises inside. after about a week of driving, i dont hear it anymore. its important to get most of the air out, and over time the rest will leave on its own. so long as you got alot of air out, i dont think you will overheat. if after a week you still hear it, then you need to bleed again. its a pain, but at least the new coolant lasts 5 yrs.

Oh I have another question, should the fan inside the car be all the way on when I bleed the system?
