Hello all,

Having a bit of a problem with my 02 Civic LX, I took it for a trip up the mountains (a lot of uphill driving, road was in good condition) and in 3 occasions it shut off by itself for no apparent reason.

Temperature was normal at all times, no weird noises from the engine, gas tank is full, oil level is normal. Whenever it happened I had to give it around 5 minuts to "calm down" and then it would start back as normal but after a few more uphills it would do it again.

It seems to happen when there's heavy strain on the engine, before yesterday I never had it happen before.

I'll be taking it to the shop when I get back of course but, I was wondering if anyone has seen this or has any clues about what's going on, it might be a little difficult to diagnose since it only happened under those specific conditions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

did any dashboard lights turn on? did this happen while pressing the gas? or while cruising.
