Rep Power: 0 replaced front lug stud, bearings now?
2002 civic ex. hey guys in the middle of doing my timing belt job a lug nut stripped off!! so i rented a slide hammer to get the hub off and it worked great! i just made sure to stay persistant it took some time.
ok so i put the new lug on, and the bearings are exposed from the knuckle. the knuckle is still installed on the car. can i repack the bearings in place? do i have to take the knuckle off? do i have to buy new bearings or can i repack them? do they need done at all if they were fine before?
a little rust fell on 2 of the bearings when the hub came out but they seem ok.... 120k miles on the car...
how do i got about this? cuz honsetly i just want to put the hub back on.
thanks guys!
