Leaking inside car from headliner!

has anyone else had this problem.... whenever it rains pretty hard i can almost guarantee to go into my car and have water already leaked all over my shifter and just sitting in the shift boot or in the headliner and everytime i accelerate or brake it will come from the plastic clip over the rear view mirror bracket. i have had the windshield replaced could it maybe something with where the windshield meets up with the roof? maybe its leaking there. any help would be greatly appreciated..

Re: Leaking inside car from headliner!

that's what i was thinking but should i go from the inside or outside, should i pull out the headliner or should i just pull out the weatherstripping between the windshield and roof?

look around under the weatherstripping outside first. you can always use a hose or some cup of water to see where the leak is.

Re: Leaking inside car from headliner!

*update* I went back to where i got the windshield installed at and turns out i'm within the one year warranty so they took it and water tested it, the guy told me that the weatherstripping was torn in half, about an 18" length actually and that was how water was getting in, he siliconed the whole strip down and said that if it leaks again he'll pull out the entire windshield and replace it with a new one with all new weatherstripping. oh, and turns out the guy who installed my windshield got fired last week for doing bad repairs...
