Check Engine/Battery Lights

Check Engine/Battery Lights
Greetings, all,
I checked the stickies on the Maint Req'd and Check Engine lights, but another problem has arisen in the wake of these two that I could use some help with in terms of diagnosis.
Over the weekend the Check Engine light came on. At my next opportunity I filled my 04 Civic EX up and checked my fluids, even though I just had an oil change about a month ago. The Check Engine light turned off immediately after that, but this morning when I started her up the battery light came on instead. I started her twice over lunch during a run to the bank, and there seems to be no problem with the electrical system so far.
If she starts up to take me home tonight, I suspect that she might just be telling me to get a new battery soon. What else could be causing this? Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer!
