Turn lights do not flash when using remote locking
Turn lights do not flash when using remote locking
I have just recently purchased a 2003 Civic Inspire S 1.6 VTEC. When I unlock and lock my car using the remote control centrel locking, no turn lights flash to indicate whether the car has been lock or unlocked. I have checked my hazards and the lights are working. This is slightly annoying as I cannot be certain that my car is locked when using the remote tranmitter from a reasonable distace (without manuel checking it is un/locked).
Is there a setting that can resolve this issue?
Any help will be greatly recieved.
Thanks

Re: Turn lights do not flash when using remote locking
for now, if you press the lock button twice does it at least honk the horn? you could do that to confirm its locked until you figure out the problem (prolly a loose or broken wire somewhere that goes from keyless entry box to the turn signal circuit).
Re: Turn lights do not flash when using remote locking
i had the same problem too last week its really annoying i was thinking my battery remote was dead or something but to unlock it flashes when i lock nothing happens
I had this same problem. I googled "honda civic remote flash honk" and found a post on another board that said the problem could be that the hood wasn't closed completely or that the sensor wasn't making contact. My hood was closed good, but I opened it anyway, used my finger to clear out some greasy gunk from the latch, then closed it hard. After that the remote worked correctly.
Hope this works for you!
