specific question about my/your civics
I've been chaseing a rattle in the front passenger side engine bay for some time which came about after I had to take evasive off road manuvers to avoide smashing a deer.
While poking around I noticed that the metal brake line, is pegged off center in the grommit where it comes into the front wheel well.
First I thought I had found the source of the rattle but no, it has not pinched through the rubber but is pressed so firmly against the side of the grommit it couldn't possibly vibrate.
I thought this was due to the near crash untill I saw the drivers side was exactly the same.
I will be working to get these re-centered, but could I get some of you guys to check your civics and see if the lines are centered or off centered in the grommit?2004 civic coupe ex, 63,000 miles btw.
Thanks

Re: specific question about my/your civics
some of mine are off centered. i doubt that would cause rattle anyway. you need to try and listen to where its coming from if possible. the hood could be rattling, maybe a hose touching a metal part, its hard to say.
