Alternative to suspension leaking and shifter
I have two problems right now:
first my front right suspension is leaking and now it is getting drier and I get an awful squeak sound.
I have also a squeak high pitched stupid annoyong noise when I shift from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. It really annoys me but I don,t have time during the week to go the dealer, well al least not this week or next one.
For the suspension, will it help if I put some grease (chain grease ?) or sillicon to lubricate the tube ?
And for the shifter, is there anything I can do for now ?
thanks,

Shifter squeak? I've never heard of that before... is it coming from the engine or the shifter itself when you move it?
As for the leaking strut, I've got it too, but it's on my front left side. Nothing you can do except get it replaced.

Shifter *squeak* it is really the shifter inside the car, when I engage a gear, it makes this noise.
anyway, for my suspension problem, I put on some white grease for 2day and the leaking dimished... but I know it won't last... but it's better than nothing for now.

For the shifter, take the center console out and spray WD40 on the bottom of the shift lever where all the plastic is. Mine did it once after about 6 months, and hasn't squeaked again in the 8 months since.
