I have a 89 honda civic that I just bought. It does not have any fire at the spark plug. after a lot of troubleshooting I thought I could solve the problem by buying a complete new distributor. I installed the new distributor and still do not have any fire at the spark plug. What should I do next?

you could start by moving your thread into the 1-5 gen honda's.... but i know friends that have had problems. because they are internal coils on the dizzy.. so if you get the whole msd kit but not a box because that isnt needed. buy the extarnal coil and a msd cap and that fixed their problem... you just gotta look up the wiring diagram so you know what wires to where on the external coil pack but that woul be quite expensive.... check all your grounds first and change and gap the spark plugs correctly...

it is a 1.6 but does it have an external coil on a 89?
