I read somewhere else in this Forum someone had the same problem. I'm not sure but I think the Speedo is electric with a sensor instead of a cable. Bummer hope the dealer doesn't give you a hard time. Do you have a 01 or 02???

I have a 2k1 and have had the same problem except when i turned the car back on it was fine. Every once in a while also the speedo will drop quickly from like 75 to 30 then pop back up quickly. The dealership won't fix anything or do anything because they can't reproduce the problem hope you have better luck.
