Noisy Breaks

Once in a while when I brake, my car makes high pitched squeaky noises. Similar to when a school bus brakes. I have owned my car for about two months now. Its a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe EX. It was a prior salvage. So maybe that has to do with the noise. I don't even have to be going fast to hear it and its embarassing. I can be at the McDonald's drive-thru and it will squeak. I have taken my car to two different Tires Plus and they haven't found anything. Is this normal in a 2001 civic? The last time I took it in, the guy replaced something in my suspension. He said something was broken. My car seems to be driving better now, but it still squeaks. What do you think could cause that? Should my car be doing that? I am also going to mention that my car was hit in the front driver's side, the car fax said there was frame damage. That damage is what made it salvaged. My car looks normal though, I had my tires replaced and had an alignment done. And my car can drive straight still without a problem. Tell me what you think.

Re: Noisy Breaks

If your brakes are not worn, then I would look at your aluminum dust caps that sits behind your rotor/brakes...

When those get bent they make the most god awful noise...I would check there first.
