Ok I really dont know what I can do here...
I have a 4dr LX 2005 automatic.
I am lowered and have a magnaflow cat-back plus "The Stiffy" engine damper.
The problem is that I get that thermal shock bullshit when my passenger feels like he or she is gona be thrown out of their seat cuz the exhaust is vibrating sooo much (this usually happens in the rain but now it does it occasionally when im driving on a normal summer day or after I have driven fast).
Also when I am at a red light in DRIVE with my foot on the brake, I also get heavy vibration which I think is coming from the exhaust, Air conditioning, and "The Stiffy"
Please help I dont know what to do to solve these problems??

Re: vibrating and more vibrating!
i know obviously I can turn off the a/c and loosen the stiffy
but what about the exhaust?? I already went to a shop to get it looked at and they couldnt see any noticable damage and what not. So it has to be the thermal shock.
What can be done to solve this?

Re: vibrating and more vibrating!
i got so sick of that stiffy i took it off and sold it. not worth the vibration imo even if the car drives better. i started to hate cruising with that thing cause the sound and rattle was so annoying. almost all of it is from that. the exhaust can be bent away from the body a little at the shop, but expect it to expand when it rains. thats just what happens with aftermarket exhaust having bigger pipe.
