Braking Problem
heres the story. i had my car before and it was perfect. it was in excellent condition. then i crashed it.
i fixed it and everything. then i had a braking problem. it would brake, dont get me wrong but it would take double the amount of foot power to make a complete stop. i changed the brake pads but then it still has the problem. and i know for a fact there is something wrong because the brakes on my car use to be really good. its just not as good as how it used to be. now its a piece of sh*t. anybody have an idea? brake lines worn out? need more/clean brake fluid? HELP!

Re: Braking Problem
Where was the car damaged when you wrecked it?
sounds almost as if the master cylinder is going out or one(or more) of the calipers/drum cylinders have gone bad.

Re: Braking Problem
If u have power brakes, check for any vaccum leaks leading to the master cylinder, loss of vaccum to the master cylinder causes less boost pressure & u have to work harder.
As said above BLEED THE SYSTEM should be the first step. CHECK FOR ROTTEN OR DAMAGED BRAKE LINES, bad break lines expand when u r pushing on the pedal causing loss of braking power.
