License plate rattle

My license plate rattles whenever I close my trunk, and also sometimes cause of the bass. Anyone know of a fix? I'm pretty sure it's just the license plate hitting the trunk....

If you have a frame around the plate, lose it! If it's just the plate, take it off and bend it so it's not really touching the car at all, not too much but just enough so it won't touch. Another option that I don't know for sure works or not is going to the hardware store and getting those little rubber clear dots that have an adhesive on the flat side and sticking them on where the plate touches the car. Good luck.

Slap some Dynamat (you know what that is right???) on the back of your license plate will make those rattles go away for-ev-er!!!!
You can get it a most car audio shops. They sell it in big sheets so you'll have a lot left over which I suggest you line the
inside of your trunk lid with.

yep, u can put strips of dynamat around the border of the plate. or go to home depot and get these foam strings, it comes in a long *** roll for about $1 and one side of it is adhesive and u can put that all over ur plate so it's not that metal on metal sound

I had a problem with mine rattling once. I can't remember what it was from. Anyhow, I just took a hot-glue gun and glued the plate to the inside of the frame. Never rattled again.
