oem mirrors

hey whats up? im trying to take apart my oem mirrors(2001 coupe). the screws that hold the motor and mirror inside the housing need a star wrench or star screwdirver(six sided screw driver, dont no what its called) the smallest i have is a T15. anyone know what size i need to go buy? i really dont want to buy a set. thanks for the help

The Service Manual just says to remove the three "Trox" screws, but doesn't give a size. I believe the Torx sizes are in increments of 5, so there may only be 2 or 3 smaller than the T15 you have. So is your T15 much bigger or slightly bigger than the screw?

its close, maybe one or two sizes too big. hard to tell the mirrors went thru hurricane katrina and im tryin to take them apart to clean them out since they covered in mud. thanks for the help and quick reply

hvc is an unknown quantity at this point
If your T15 almost fits, its most likely the T10 screw driver. Worst comes to worst, you could just buy both and take the one that doesn't fit back (make sure you can return it).
