So on a wet road I start from stop and try to make a hard acceleration. Not really a launch but when I am in 1st and moved just a little bit I hit the gas but my car just vibrates HARD and doesnt move.

Is my clutch not engaging? This happens only when its raining or the roads are slick.

Thanx

like when u say u just vibrate, do u mean like your engine just screams out, with no movement at all.... cause u say u move a little, but then u say u dont move.

But it sounds like you arent engaging at all....but i dont know y the wet roads would have anything to do with it.....

I know my tires spin very easy on wet ground, but spinning tires on our car (and a lot of FWD cars actually) makes it feel like a bomb is going off.

alot of unmanaged FWD vehicles get this, called wheel hop. It is when the wheel actually hops up and down off the floor. This is caused by unsprung weight of the vehicle (i.e. tires, wheels, knuckles, or anything that the suspension coil does not hold up.) , or bad dampeners, or bad motor mounts.

An easy way to slightly prevent this is the the Ingalls Stiffy. It helps control the engine/tranny, in whcih it helps iwth the vibration of the vehicle.

Sorry bout that...

I just experience this problem again today in a parking lot with patches of snow. Again, I started in first, and I sense now that the clutch doesnt engage. BUT...my foot was completely off the clutch and the car was already moving...just when I give it a little gas...I get a hard vibration. (

Sorry for the confusion...but the car does actually move a little

wheel hop shouldn't be bad if it happens by accident once every blue moon. but if you launch hard, and maybe even frequently, you could rip the motor mounts.

yup, what he said.

just sounds like wheel hop, but as long as its only during wet times, or in icy conditions... no biggie.
