"Timing Belt" broke at 11,000 miles...!!!!
My mechanic friend just told me my timing belt just broke at 11,000 miles. I'm gonna try to get it fixed for free, not sure if warranty is still good though, car is like 3 years old.
Also going to write to Honda Corporate and complain, all mechaincs I talked to said, this should have NEVER happened.
* What would you do?
* Is it true that a rebuilt engine will have future problems? (due to the timing belt damage)?
Chime in and let me know....

Honda says its good till 110000 miles or 10 yrs so they should warrenty it even if your warrenty is up. If you call Honda they will prolly tell you to take it to a dealer and see what they say. Do that as a first step. Make sure you ask for it to be considered for goodwill coverage.

it doesnt matter how many miles are on the car, parts fail at any minute. its possible the belt snapped, or more of a likely senerio is the tensioner failed.
but find out the delivery date of your car. if it less then 3 years, you are guarenteed to haved it fixed for free under the 3 yr/36k warranty.

I would raise it up with honda and get free repair of all the damage. hope u did not damage anything else.
I would seriously consider putting a new one. its not that hard to put one in. My friend did the same thing on his CRV? timing belt broke going down the rd at 40mph. We had to take the head out to see damage to valves, rockers & cam shaft. more expensive than a 40 dullar timing belt.
