Guys,
About a month and half ago, I took my 01 civic EX coupe in for some basic work to a local shop. Having a lowered car, the mechanic had difficulties trying to get it on his lift. Eventually, he got some 2x4s,etc. On his own, he attempted 2-3 tiimes to "roll" the car onto the 2x4s by by utilizing the steering column as the leverage. From a stand still and standing just outside the driver side, he "rocked" my civic back and forth a little until he was able to "roll" it eventually onto the 2x4s. (Yes, in hind sight, I wish I told him to stop, but too late.) It looked like quite an intense pressure applied onto the steering wheel and hence my concern. I don't see any apparent issues with the steering, etc., but it seems to me the steering wheel/column wasn't designed and made to have intense pressure appiled to them or am I wrong. Should I be concerned? I mean this guy was trying to move literally a tons worth of weight, albeit to roll over a 2x4, but from a stand still. Lay it to me straight.
Thanks, guys.

Rep Power: 0 i probably wouldnt be concerned too much, unless its loose, they are designed to take a bit of presure from front end collisions, its usually quite a large bar, the plastic is just decorative, unless something is loose, dont sweat it...
