Seat Belt Assembly Help??!
Seat Belt Assembly Help??!
01 civic ex 2d SALVAGE! title. Anyways my driver seat belt assembly blows. Doesn't want to clip the first time I want to insert my seat belt. I would either have to hold it in the assembly and keep pressing my release button tell it clicks or i have to keep pushing the seat belt into the seat belt assembly tell it clicks. Anyone kno how to solve this problem or atleast how to open the assembly. Biggest question is what size and kind of screwdriver do I need to use???
I have the same problem but only when it is cold (Canadian cold, not Southern California cold). It is strange because when the interior of the car warms up the buckle works fine. Honda has said that the whole assembly needs replacing and it is quite expensive. Anyone with a better solution?

i dont think they're interchangeable.. for the fronts, its only one bolt holding it to the seat, but its sort of a uni-directional assembly.. as for the rears, its not the same plastic buckle.. its only one bolt as well, but its the cloth thing instead of plastic attaching the buckle to the car.. also, the fronts have a clip that's an input to the srs sensor.. or something like that.. alls i kno is if you unplug that clip and start the car, your srs light will come on..
Lol my SRS light is already on. I already tried reseting my SRS light and that didn't go too good. Pretty soon Im taking my car to the dealer to fix many problems. Saying goodbye to my money already
I need TP for my bunghole

Sound like the seat mounted bucklers were damaged from the accident that made it a "SALVAGE" title car; the cause fo the SRS light not turning off.
Just replace the seat mounted bucklers.
You can find new factory parts from here for a good price: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...artsSearch.jsp

Parts 1 and 4
R. FR. SEAT BELT GRAPHITE BLACK - 108.95
L. FR. SEAT BELT GRAPHITE BLACK - 108.95
They might be a tad expensive; but really how much is your safety worth?
