My tire has horrible inner wear

A few years back I had an accident where someone pulled out in front of me and my front passeneger side when head on with his rear passenger side. I've noticed over time that my fron passenger tire is significantly worn down on the inside of that wheel. None of my other tires have the problem. I need to get new tires for my expection next month but I don't want to buy new tires just to have this keep happening. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks.

In a nut shell...
  1. Accident few years back that hit front passenger side.
  2. Front passenger tire has ALOT more wear on the inside than the outside.
  3. No other tires affected.

plus, wouldnt the axle accelerating, since a aka one-wheel-wonder burn-outs affect your tire wear, but most likely the camber and alignment.

Oh by the way, I'm on stock steelies with no suspension mods. Would I just need to take it to get aligned or would I have to have something else done to it?

if you have stock springs and shocks, yes just take it to alignment shop. it can be adjusted within factory spec. camber kit is only for lowered rides.

Ya I know about camber kits and all that but i kept seeing camber so I wanted to make sure I wasn't being stupid. Ok thanks guys. I'm going to try to make a trip to get this done before I buy the new tires. Will they be able to tell me if it is way off while they are doing it?

ya they should give you a spec sheet with bad values in red at first and then a second sheet with everything in the green.

I would buy the new tires and get an alignment at the same time. its not recommended to align the car with the old and worn out tires.

blackbox_06 is an unknown quantity at this point
yea you should get the new tires and do whatever you going to do to it as far as ride height is concerned bc you may need to get another alignment if you alter that too much

I don't have the money to modify the car now. If I do lower it or anything like that, I'll need a new job that pays more or a big raise. And right now the hours I work are great 6-2:30.

ya alignment is the last thing you do, after installing new parts like spring, tires etc

Ok thanks everyone. Hopefully it is just the alignment and not something worse.

ya trust me its an alignment. i do alagnments myself, it should take about 30 min if they know what theyre doing. jif its just on the front passenger, just have them do a fea(front end alignment) its cheaper and faster and will have the same results. also, rotating your tires every 5000 miles will help some but not alot.
