More Problems-why Me?
So I have my 02 Coupe Lx, and I loved it when new. Since 5000 Km, the car has not shifted right into second. In the winter it barely shifts and grinds, double clutching or not. The clutch squeaking has been going on, had the master cylinder replaced and still same noise yet honda says its not a real issue. I think its the throwout bearing but they wont take it apart. I have had the drivers door hinges adjusted, the carpets get soaked when the A/C or rain is on, yet they have no cure for it.
Lately when driving the acceleration is erradic and when accelerating the engine makes tons of pinging and noise. Almost like detonation. The harder I acclerate, the louder the pinging. I have already changed the plugs at 48,000 Km and checked them again. I only have 72,000 Km and the car is just under 4 years old.
Add to this now I am getting noise in the front driver (mostly) and some in the passenger side. Whenever I put the A/C on or let off or on the gas, the car seems to lurch and chugs or almost hesitates. It feels like the motor mounts aren't holding the car right.
So I take all this into honda, my milage is 72,000 Km and I have been in with various other issues. Not only do they charge me an hours time to look at the car, they claim that the entire front suspension, struts, ball joints etc are all leaking, damaged or worn out. Add to this the transunion joints are almost worn out and the rear suspension they claim is also going. They want 2000 to do the repairs, and will not consider any of this warranty work. Add to this all, they wont even guarantee that this will fix the problem. I could spend all the money and if it doesnt fix it I'm out my $$.
From the sounds when driving, low speeds and only when I am turning right, it sounds more like a bad drive shaft.
I can apprecicate cars have parts that wear out and if a strut, or something small was going, but Honda's are supposed to have no major issues. So far this car has just ton's of issues. Between my dad and I we have owned over 15 hondas in the last 10 years and this is the first we have every had like this.
I called honda canada and told them that I am looking to buy a new honda and I don't want to trade in my car full or problems. I want them to stand behind the work they do and look at all the issues I have had with my car and the low mileage. I take extra good care, all oil changed with Only Mobil 1, all regular maintance done before and better than honda would so this is just a big **** off. I explaied I don't want someone else to have issues, and ruin their name and if honda isnt willing to stand beside the cars they make (like they used to) maybe they will have to lose a life long customer. I already have my Acura TL picked out and ready to go, but perhaps I may have to rethink who I am giving my hard earned money too. At the end, Honda has still said no way they will guarantee that if the work done doesnt fix the problem that I will get my $$ back.
So not only does the engine still make noise, the transmission doesnt shift into second well, nothing else is going right on the car. Anyone have some help they can offer/tips for getting this done right? I am willing to front some of the money, but I don't think this is something I should be out of pocket fully. Somebody help!

Ok lets make a short list of the problems.
Engine noise- pinging.
Possible bad CV - happens when turning right.
Leaky Door Something onto the carpet. The squeaky clutch is normal but you can fix that easily so its minor.
Wont shift into second gear -
Hmm did I miss anything?
This should help in some of the problems. Read over this and inform your self.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OYLNOPU0 - everyone should check this out first.
Gear Clash When Shifting Forward Gears Clutch Out Of Alignment, Shift Linkage Damaged Or Out Of Adjustment, Gears Or Synchronizers Damaged, Low Gear Oil Level
SERVICE INFORMATION
When repairing a water leak, here's a handy tip: Check the accumulated water. If the accumulated water is dirty, look for leaks from the underside of the vehicle (floor, wheelwells, etc.). If the accumulated water is clean, look for leaks from the top side of the vehicle (trunk seal, windshield, roof strips, etc.).

Yeah I have had the fluid already checked and replaced at the 48,000 Km interval and its fine.
Yeah the detonation and all that I can agree with, but I cant figure out why this would be happening with such a new car. I run premium, regular and nothing seems to make it better.
Doesnt its sound odd to have all these sorts of problems with such a new car? I don't race it, take if off road or anything. Is anyone else having problems like I am?
Also I tried that web site but I didnt seen anything to download or review.
Thanks

Go to the top right and it says type in code. Type in the code, wait 45 seconds and it gives you the download.
I have had some problems. THe detonation could be from premium, get some serious Fuel injection cleaner and put a couple bottles into your gas tank and run regular gas.
Do you have any mechanical know how? Jack your car up in the front. shake the wheels up and down left and right and check for wiggle.
Take the wheel off and looking at the lower control arm look @ where it meets the car. Check those bushings (The rubber part) if they are cracked and looked done come back and report. Look @ the strut, (the cylinder with a spring around it) is there any fluid leaking around the edges anywhere on it. Check this for both sides. I mean, just use common sense.

Yeah thanks for that.. I am pretty mechanical. I havrun fuel injector cleanor every other oil change since new.
As for mechanical..I have lifted and tried the trick. Can find any direct wiggle I am aware of. No weird tire wearing patterns either. The transunions I can show cracking, but it looks more like wearther checking on the side of an old tire, doesnt look like something worn or damaged from abuse.
Yeah the shocks up front are leaking..I took this to honda back at 45,000 Km and they said it was just normal oil and nothing out of the ordinary.
