finish on rims
finish on rims
i have had my rims for a good three years now, but just recently i think the finish on the rims are coming off, its not scratches, some parts of the rims look like the film is coming off like its darker than the main color of the rim and more noticable on the lip, some parts are not as shiny. Wut can you do to fix that, is there anything that you can buy to restore tham like a spray, or is there nothing u can do when it does that.

you cant really do anything, its the coating already peeling off. unless you get them fixed or something, idk never seen it done. you suppose to take care of them by cleaning at least once a week. brake dust corrodes them
My laminate is peeling off mine all over the outter lip. One thing I might try is this stuff I picked up once, it was called Aircraft Paint Stripper or something. It was some crazy stuff. I might try that but I'm probably just going to have it removed via sandblasting or other method. Then a buddy is going to powercoat them Anthracite or a dark charcoal color.
