I was driving to my girlfriends house tonight and i was accelerating and my car got to about 65 and i have a auto and it was in D3 and it felt like it didn't want to shift at all. Little while later i started to hear kind of a whistle noise whenever i would start to accelerate. Im not much of car guy really scared about my car now :-(

um you shouldnt be in D3 going 65. thats for city driving max up to around 40mph. ya it didnt want to shift because d3 only uses gears 1-3, not 4. if you hear a whistling sound, well it could be anything. maybe the atf pump is whining and the tranny will break soon.

atf pump? but its never happened before tho thats the wierd thing its never happen before ever and

is the tranny slipping at all between shifts. if it is and you hear the whine sound, its the pump dying from chunks of clutch pack flowing through and breaking it. if its not slipping, everythings fine.

i doesn't slip at all and my dad took it out and said it was find maybe im just freaking out after my little moment there
