Rpms Going Crazy...honda Techs?

ok, so i got an 04 honda civic ex cpe (cai,exhaust,headers,32,000miles).

the problem i am having is when my car is running for about 30mins (at idle) with the a/c on.When i turn the a/c off the rpms will just drop to zero occasionally,it will start bogging down and sometimes just die. it started getting real bad so i took it into the honda dealership and they determined that it was the IAC that was causing the problem. so they replaced the IAC and everything was fine for a few days. then it started again!

now it only seems to happen when it is real hot outside and like i said when the a/c has been on and i turn it off. im hearing of a possible pcm problem, or maybe they didnt reset the ecu on the last repair? i dunno......if anyone can help me out here with some advice or personal experience i would greatly appreciate it.

No.....nobody?

im dieing over here, literally!

I told you to go back to the dealer. you should be under warranty still and besides, if they determined a faulty part and its still happening, its now on them to look at it again at there expense. they mis-diagnosed it the first time, so make them do it right this time.

Cool

i have never heard of rpms dropping after A/C going OFF, i heard the other wy around.

1. check your idle cable it should not be too lose (probably not it tho, but try having it at at least 700)

2. i had my rpms drop like crazy when my cooling fan went on, stalled a few times, replaced my temperature switch, which gave wrong readings to the ECU

3. check your belt

4. i hope you dont have a massive exhaust pipe, and ur losing crazy back pressure.

other than that, i have no idea

Well it looks like we have finally found the problem and it turns out the a/c had nothing to do with it.when i took it in the first time and they replaced the iac it was still messed up. a few days later i get a call from honda doing a follow up survey and as you can imagine i burned em on that survey cause they had my car for 3 days and didnt even fix the problem. (basically left me stranded)

so now all the sudden i am #1 priority in their eyes. they have me bring my car back in, put me in an 06 ridgeline and have my car fixed in 2 days.

turns out that the cooling fan motor was bad. everytime my cars cooling fan would kick on, the fan motor was drawing way to many amps which inturn would make the rpm's somehow drop and make the car just die. anyways, got the car fixed and now its running stronger than ever
