Question take my car to the dealer or mechanic??

i just finished lowering my car yesterday(will post pics tomorrow) and i need to get the car aligned, oil changed(no im not gonna do it myself so dont even say it) and my gas cap door opener is broken so i want to get that fixed too. I would rather take it to all one place than having to go to the dealer for the gas cap and the mechanic for alignment and oil change. Can the dealer do all that stuff and is it worth it? my car is warrantied also. I dont think an oil change and alignment would be under it tho. Or should i just take it to a mechanic and have them do it all?

i know for a fact that the gas cap door opener cable is under warrenty cause i had to go get that fixed when mine broke. oil change is a complete rip off...try bringing your own oil and filter to get only charged the labor and i dunno about the alignment cause i had a tire replaced at the dealer cause there was a nail in it and apparently they had to take it to an alignment shop cause they didn't have it in house.

my car broken into at the dealer??? i dont have anything special in there anyway, just diamond plate floormats and pillar gauges....can a normal shop fix the gas door opener wire??? if my car is warrantied i could get it done for free, but my car is lowered, exhaust and intake, i dont want them bitching about that but obviously none of that can cause it to break

^ word - I'd like to see them try to have the nerve to falsely accuse your modifications as the cause of damage to the gas lid cable

yeah see your car has "after market mods" which would have the dealer void your warrenty..i know there is a law that says that they cant void it unless they can prove that the aftermarket part was the source of the problem....but who wants all that headache? just take it to a trustworthy shop and have em do all your crap

Lowered car and your worried about mechanics?

Think about your insurance company declining any accident your in because of your vehicle modifications. You've modified vehicle from factory specs in terms of vehicle safety, etc.
