cv boots.....

I am due to replace my CV boots on my car. I have 30k miles on it. Do I need to replace all 4 of my boots or just the outside ones. Also, where is a good place online to purchase these boots.

Another question while I am here. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket brake pad that is friendly on the stock rotors? I always thought the stock pads felt mushy. Thanks for all your help.

wha? why are you due? did they break or are making clicking sounds? you dont just replace for fun. the stock brakes are actually quite good, and aftermarket wont be any better in terms of stopping, but it will eat the rotor faster.

I just heard that you have to replace the boots every 30k miles or you could possibly damage the CV joint. I really don't want to get to the point where I hear the clicking. Once you start hearing that, you have to replace the whole joint and CV boots.
Do you know a good place online where I could purchase these parts. Thanks

You do NOT need to replace CV boots unless they are torn or leaking. The CV joint is a wear item and will eventually need to be replaced anyway probably after 100k. The best way to extend the life of them is make sure the boots are good and dont gun the trrottle while turning the wheel from lock (sharp turns).
