Some kind of Oil problem?

I have been dreading writing this thread but I think it has come down to it. I picked up my EP3 about 3 months ago everything seemed fine with it. Checked it out good, test drove it etc. Gave it, its first oil change about a month ago. Used recommended 5w20, honda OEM filter, everything seemed cool. EXCEPT. I have put 2-3 quarts in it in the past 2500 miles. That does not seem acceptable to me. A car with 47,000 miles on it and is only 4 years old should not use any oil in my book and if any maybe only like 1/2 quart, if that between oil changes. The engine looks totally clean, it is definetley not leaking out of it. I have not noticed any smoking but then I drive it and dont follow it, so I couldnt tell, no one has said anything to me about it smoking when they are behind me. Where the f*ck is this oil going. I guess I have to put my stock airbox back in and take it to the dealer cause it is still under warranty. Anyone have any guesses, know of any problems with the K20A3? Thanks in advance.

get a compression check, look at the plugs (says alot about how the engine works), etc. that will tell you if the motor is still good. but yea take it to dealer. they will drive it and say its not burning oil, you're stuck with the problem. so its up to you to fix.

Well I didnt like the end of that answer. But i guess it is what i kinda expected the way everyone talks about warranties and dealers. F*CK, once again I am stuck with somthing f**ked up, I HATE CARS!.

Another ? I only changed my oil once. I used Castrol Syntec, I have used Castrol in all of my vehicles I like Castrol. I am assuming whoever had my car before me used regular oil, not synthetic. Can I switch back to regular oil on my next oil change? The way this is going now, I dont feel like paying 5-6$ for a quart of synthetic when I can get regular oil for half the price.

welcome to car ownership lol. at least your trans isn't messed up and slipping. but you have this site to help you. alot of knowledgeable people here. but yea take it in first and tell em the oil level keeps dropping. see what they say. then there are things you can do yourself to figure out the problem.

i believe you can switch back, but check in the fuel forum to make sure.

yes. you can switch back and forth however you're going to want to run the synthetic as it lasts longer, the seals and the other lubed areas will thank you as its viscosity doesn't break down as fast....if anything check the oil faq's and p/m Jrfish007 if ya got some other q's. he is the man to go to for oil....in the meantime check out GREAT SITE WITH PERTINENT INFO
