Exhaust

Im not sure if this should go in this thread or not. So if it doesnt a nice move would be nice. Well, I baught an aftermarket exhaust. The exhaust is a Tsudo Exhaust. And well it is kinda loud even with the silencer in. I was wondering if anyone knows of anyway to dampen the noise a little. I have goten 2 tickets in the past few months. I have goten out of them because of the proof of repair slip thing. But I need to make it less loud. So if anyone has an ideas that would be appreciated. I would like to find away instead of taking it off and putting the stock exhaust back on or getting a different exhaust. Thanks for the help

putting the stock one on is basically the only way unless you dont have a cat then you can put that back on but it wont make a huge difference, just put the stock one back on

they have universal silencers you can buy if your exhaust is a certain size. just measure and compare to whats out there. ebay has a bunch prolly.

Ok. I checked out those universal silencers. Looks like a good idea. Im probably going to try it out. Anyone have any experience with them? Do they work good. By good I mean do they reduce the noise level to wear its not "cop attracting". Thanks guys

ya for sure. alot of exhausts even come with them. you just stick it in and i think you gotta drill a hole at the bottom of the tip to hold it in there. it will sound alot more like stock.

i thought you already have a silencer, u said "its kinda loud with the silencer in" so why would you buy another one if you say its still loud. I have the skunk 2 and that exhaust is loud but i havent tryed it out with the silencer yet

well i was thinking a different silencer would make it quiter. Im assuming that all silencers are the same then. I was hoping that maybe a different silencer would dampen the sound but I guess it really wouldnt. Would another alternitive be to cut off the muffler, and get a new one and just have a shop weld the muffler on for me? Would that work?

if you weld on the stock one it would, basically all aftermarket ones are louder than stock but i heard that the ws2 and some other one are really quiet, when gearbox or anyone else see's this i think they will know which ones are the quietest

Well i have been searching around....and i was looking on the flowmaster site. They have a muffler that is designed for sport compacts. Could I have a shop weld me on the flowmaster muffler. Would that be any less loud?
