screeching sound coming from auto tranny.
Its a 2001 civic with a cvt tranny and i hear a screeching sound, which sounds like a belt sound and its coming from the tranny. This happens when i start the car when its cold and sometimes when its already warm and it makes intermitent screeches that last for last for 5-7 seconds, then its ok and drives ok. After a while of driving for 20-30 mins the screeching sound can be heard sometimes only when moving off. I have changed the tranny oil and filter and the sound is still present and as time goes by ...on cold start ups seems to be getting louder and louder.
Any good advice would be greatly appreciated.

well I don't know much about the CVT tranny other than it's very basic concepts. I do know there is a recall on the CVT shift solenoid, here is the official TSB recall number. On the Honda owner link, you can find if this has been taken care of on your specific car, you'll need your vin number. If not just call up the dealer and tlak to them.
