maybe there is actually something wrong with srs. i've pulled the battery more times than i can remember, and the light has never been on. i think if you jump-start the car it could come on.

I went by autozone and we hooked up the obdII to check ....no errors at all...so is my srs ok? I will just reset the light, last resort is to go to honda...guy at autozone said the srs fuse might be blown after putting in the new battery

thanks bro!!! I just did what you said with the DIY I found searching to reset the srs...it worked!!! And, I used a paperclip, had to do it a few times since I didn't have the honda little accessory, the srs light is off, I just hope there was nothing really wrong with my airbag system - the diy says if you problem is fixed then the light will reset, so I am thinkin my srs airbag system should work fine if I get in a bad wreck, I just don't know why it came on to begin with!!! All I did is replace my dead battery a few days ago. Thanks tfnaaf!!!! I apreciate it bro and thanks for DIY whoever did it!!!!!!! 7th gen has saved me countless $$$$ and keeps me from the shady honda dealer......

thanks ya'll
Yep, I finally broke down and went to honda ready to shell out $40.00. I had been to autozone and used the obd2 but that only reads check engine light not srs, so I finally went to honda to pay. we hooked it up with hondas computer , and sure enough problem diagnosis with drivers side seat belt just like you said. So, he turned the srs light off, but said you have a problem, you can fix it, buy the part, take the seat out and fix it. He went to check and found out it is covered under warranty for my car- safety warrranty!!! yea!!! I don't have to pay for anything at all - all covered, and a dangerous problem will be fixed. So thanks to you all. The honda tech said it was not a good idea to disable the srs in the fuse box like I did. But the computer still picked up the problem with the history. So, I am very thankful , the light is off, and I am getting the problem fixed under warranty, and you were exactly right, it is the seat belt driver side.
