Loose Hood

This morning, my dad pointed out that my hood isn't in place correctly even when its shut......this is the third or fourth problem i've had with this car....i love it, but it only has 13.000 miles and it will only get worse when i leave for college and pile on more. Should i consider trading it in for an '02?

my girlfriend had that problem her POS 95 hyundai elantra.

take it to the dealer, it might be a warranty issue (unless youve been in an accident or something that caused it)

The bolts that align the hood may be off a bit causing it to sit weird. Which way is it sitting wrong? You may have something holding one side up. Check the engine bay to make sure everything clears the hood. If you can't notice anything take it in.

It could be a loose latch. I have a loose latch on my EX and the hood stays on tight, but it sucks when I try to close it.

I have a loose hood on my 01 ex. I have taken it to the dealer twice and they tightened it the first time and it became loose again. the second time they said that is just the way the cars are. I'm taking it to a new dealer tommorow to see what they say. I know it is not supposed to be like that.

There is a HONDA TSB on this problem. They should be aware of it and make the repair.

My hood was loose a while back... It would rattle when the engine was running...

The dealership fixed it under warranty. Problem solved!

Where do you find these Honda TSB's....We should create a link on the website for everyone to see...Under the links page...That would benefit alot of us who don't know about these...

Just my 2 cents...
