get leather or racing seats and quit smoking (or tell who was smoking to quit)

it's a little tiny area on the rear bench, right in the middle.

a seat cover is about the only way to cover it. you would have been better off starting with seat covers and letting them get damaged instead of the seats

i have a friend who was driving and threw his cig out the window but it flew into the back seat. the cig then burned a small hole in it. he contacted his insurance and took it to a shop where they fixed it. looks good as new!

I purchased some seat covers for the fronts to try and eliminate stains. As for the rear I just threw a black bath towel on the seat. Serves my purpose of keeping the seat clean! Just tuck it under and on the sides of the cushion, looks fine.

Get coves or new seats would be the fix. However, you shouldn't smoke in your car. It causes burns like yours, no matter how careful you are, depreciates the vehicles value, and in some cases, increases your insurance premiums.

look in the yellow pages for car interior repair. its specailists who replace fabric. they also install leather in most cases. take it to them and get a quote. they match up the fabric real well its better then tacky covers. and cheaper than racing seats

You can buy the material for the rear seat and get it installed at any auto shop that does interiors. Just check out www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

The part is 98 bucks, and labor should run 50 or so. Pretty expensive cigarette!

I burned my leather seat back when a cig blew back into the car. It didn't make a hole but I dould never get all the black char off.

Now I always use the ash tray. Smokey Bear says not to throw cigs out the window anyway and he's right.

Smoking in your car makes it age and depreciate faster ... actually, that also applies to the smoker

Re: Cigarette burns

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get the front base seat replaced or if it's even possible?

There's a huge cigarette burn on it.
