Aint this a *****
Okay so I put my magnaflow in the other day and I had this whole issue with a screw breaking off and to make a long story short, I replaced the screws going into the mainfold for the exhuast and the right one broke again. So were sawing on this thing over the night and its not coming off. Today we try to grind it off somemore and we happened to notice that there is a crack forming in the dead center of the manifold. So now im like well maybe its a good thing that the screw got messed up or I might not have noticed the crack forming. So now its to honda to get a new manifold and its going to cost me about a G to get it fixed. So as of now I have AEM V2 and a Magnaflow Exhaust on it. I dont know if i should fight honda or insurance on this or should I just get it replaced and be done with it. I was also considering doing a header but then again Im saving for a turbo setup which this replacement is going to eat into but not by that much. MY car went to being okay in one day to be annoying the next ......

There is no use fighting honda on this issue because it is your fault. Assuming you are way past warranty, you have to buy it yourself. honda will even see that you have broken a bolt and installed an exhaust and right there they will know why it happened. Now it wont cost you a grand to fix. A new header for the lx which has the CAT in it which costs $315 from majestic honda, so I suggest you order it from there and put it on yourself.

The reason im replacing it is not because of a broken bolt. Im replacing it because the thing fractured up near the piping were the outlets from the engine are, thats completly on the other end of the manifold, I couldnt have broken it, not to mention it looks like a heat fracture from what I've seen.

Guess what I am so happy. The honda guy that has handled my maitinence (thtas not spelled right but anyways) didnt charge me for a new exhaust mainfold. He told me that theres a 5 year emissions warranty and since there was a heat fracture in the manifold (probably from me beating on it) that the part would be replaced for free, all I had to do was pay labor. That made my day.
