Transmission problem - RPM flaring
Transmission problem - RPM flaring
Does anyone know if the current generation Civic slushbox still uses a throttle pressure cable to modulate the shift harshness? My auto transmission is slipping the clutch between 3rd and 4th and the RPM is flaring under light acceleration. The last time it happened, Honda gave me a new transmission. Now 20000 miles later, the problem is returning. I want to get this addressed before I burn up another clutchpack. Thanks!

I think he's trying to determine if there is a cable, since it can be adjusted to make the shifts firmer and stop slipping. On trannies that have a pressure cable, you can adjust the line pressure.
