Starting Problems

I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX which is giving me some starting problems of late. It starts perfectly fine in the mornings but after running for sometime when i switch it off and try to start it (mostly afternoons or evenings), it takes atleast 3-4 times to get it started. If during this time , i press the accelerator and try to start it , it starts fine. I don't know what the problem is, but i got the battery checked and its fine. I even got my ignition switch replaced but the probelm still persists. i got a diagnosis done on my car which said the idle control solenoid could be faulty. Or could it be due to the fuel pump? If anyone of you have had these problems and seem to know the solution , please let me know. I have taken my car to a couple of mechanics but each one says a different thing which is confusing and tiring. You could reply to my email : lavanreddy@yahoo.com also.

Thanks
Lavan.

stock is on a distinguished road
Check your Main relay. Do you hear it click when you turn on the car to ACC position? Your fuel pump may be going also. Do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to ACC position?

The main relay can develop small cracks along the contacts. You can easily solder this.
