Err, where is this oil comming from and why?

So I have noticed lately that I have what looks like a very very small oil leak comming from in the area around the dip stick. I'm not sure if it is comming from the seal on the dipstick, or if it is comming from the valve cover bold that sits right there, but there is definitely a little leakage going on. I'm running 0-20 Mobil 1 Synth oil, I'm wondering is it too thin, or what? Is anyone else having this issue???

Which dip stick are you talking about? Oil or Trans? If it's Oil dip stick, then I suggest you look around the drain plug and oil filter. Make sure they are tight. Filter should be 3/4 turn hand-tight. The drain plug should have a crush washer but not required.

Last but not least, check the oil dipstick for correct oil level. It should not go over high.

Check to make sure that the breather isn't clogged up, and the O ring on the dipstick is in place.

What does the drain plug and oil filter have to with oil around his dipstick
MIne has oil in the same spot, but the previous owner took it jiffy lube all the time so I don't know. I would think its the valve cover, because of the bolt right next to the dipstick. But why would such a new car(mine) leak from there?

^^^^Exactly what I was thinking, other than I'm thinking that maybe the dipstick o-ring is letting the oil pass. I'm also wondering if the 0-20 Mobil 1 is too thin and that is what is letting it pass through?
