Ok, here's the deal. I installed the hp header and high flow cat. with this new combo there are three holes/bungs for the oxygen sensors. Two are on the new header itself and one is on the new cat. Two of these holes are used one is not. I do not know what to put in the third hole. The owner of hp header said to use preexisting hardware but there were no bolts/screws large enough to use. So my question is to everyone that has installed this...what did you use to plug up that extra bung hole. Thank you very much.

i've looked at pepboys, sears hardware, menards, and home depot and i have found no bolts that fit. I called hp and they said that the bolt size is 17mm, does anyone know of a store that carries bolts this large? Thanks
Yeah, same with me. But the shop that installed my header and downpipe got it to work somehow. I also got an O2 Simulator with mine. But that just wires right into the ECU. There has to be a bolt that will fit.

so after countless phone calls to numerous hardware stores and car parts stores i finally ended up at NAPA who said the had what i needed. When i arrived at NAPA they said they didn't have the bolt i needed. So they lied to me on the phone. I spent 1 and a half hours in NAPA waiting for the sales guy to find the right bolt. $1.29 later the bolt doesn't even fit. So hopefully after tommorow morning it will be resolved...HYPR DRV did your hp header/cat come w/ the O2 simulator and do you have a check engine light??

Anyways im using a 3/8 inch oil drain plug. it was a little loose going in but once in, it should be perfectly fine. Just incase anyone else has this problem. Thanks for everyones help.

hey HYPR DRV, does your car ratttle/shake more than it used to? Also when you use your A/C does your car shake even more? Thanks, i just wanted to see if it was normal.
^^^Uhhhh, I guess my car vibrates from the exhaust when I'm idling with the A/C on. But I wouldn't say that the car itself shakes or rattles. I didn't notice anything like that when I had my header/cat replaced. Just vibrations from the exhaust.

yeah, i actually removed the motor mount, installed the header and shaved some of the black metal part that was in the way of the header. I'm thinking that i might need to shave some more off. I also think i have a leak between the header and the cat. (I'm hearing two different exhaust tones) Is there supposed to be a gasket in between the two new pieces?

yeah, like i hear one tone coming from the engine bay and another tone from the actual exhaust outlet. I'm going to check for a leak where the header and cat meet.

Since you have an EX check your stock header and cat(if you still have them) to see if you have the gasket. Putting that on should fix your leak.
According to this parts site I was looking at there is. auto parts select
Haven't had a chance to put the gasket in because I slept all day.

That sounds about right. Just slip it in and tighten the bolts back up and it should work fine. Remember to alternate as you are putting the bolts back on so you don't put too much pressure on one side.

i shaved a little off the black metal piece of the motor mount...but i also think that the header is hitting the cross frame in the front of the engine bay, and i don't think that that is such a good idea??
