Question TPS Problem

My car is throwing a code that says my TPS voltage is too low and another manufactureer specfic code (I forget what it means). Here are my codes if anyone has a reference chart: P0122 and P1298. I'm assuming the TPS is going bad because of the low voltage, and perhaps the manuf. code is a result of that. I looked at the TPS and it seems like its integrated in the the throttle body. Is this correct? If so, does anyone know where I can get a Honda TB for a decent price? I'm assuming the dealer part is really expensive and I'm not that interested in performance parts if they are a much bigger cost. Any suggestions/advice?

Hey i had the same problem with the TPS for months and i was looking for a throttle body frantically cause its incorporated into it. But what i did was a member on this site was selling his TB on ebay and i won it replaced it and now the TPS works...As for getting it somewhere else it could cost close to $200 new, but if u have good luck u might find a used one in a junkyard

From my Helm's manual:

P0122: IAT Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

It gives some instructions on what to do based on tests that you have to perform with an IAT "scan tool" (I dunno... that's what the book says), and most of the test recommendations end up being replacement of the IAT sensor. (IAT = intake air temperature)

P1298: Electrical Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage

Gives some instructions on what to do ... seems to be related to fuse no. 4 ACG (10A).

If you need these pages from the manual, I don't have a scanner, but you can pm me and we can try some other way to get this info to you.

Thanks, I guess I looked up the wrong code and thought it was the TPS. I can't see the IAT being very expensive. Its only about 15 bucks for my GM. Do you know of any scanware that I can get for my civic...analagous to datamaster if you are familiar with that. Thanks again.

Sorry, don't know anything about scanware or datamaster. Go to your dealer's parts department and ask them if they know.
