Air Conditioning Compressor

I've got an 01 and an outside vendor says my a/c compressor has a hole in it. I've got 80,000 miles, but I called the honda customer service number and they said if I take it to a dealer and they find that it is defective, they may just take care of it anyway cause the amount of miles has nothing to do with a defect in the a/c compressor. I have intake on it though, do you guys think that'll be any part of thier decision on whether or not to take care of the air conditioning.

I'll be surprised if your dealer covers it for free, unless they're super generous.

Not because of your mods, but simply because AC falls under the 3 yr/36000 mile warrantly, and with 80000 miles, you're way past that.

yeah the honda customer service said that if its a defect inside the compressor they'll fix it cause miles has nothing to do with a defect in the a/c. If you go to the dealer they would probably say no, but I called the 800 number for honda and they gave me a case # to give the dealer. I would have never thought to call customer service, but one of my buddies did it for a problem in his car which was past warrenty and they did it for free.
