Engine dies, BIG PROBLEMS!!
Ive been screwed.
I was accelerating onto a highway when my engine just cut out on me and wouldnt restart. I take it to the dealer and they cant fined anything specifically wrong so for some reason they decide, "Lets put in a new ECU." They do this and that didnt work. So then i hav the car towed to my real mechanic and i hav to pay the dealer $261 bucks.
When my mechanic checks my car he figures out the problem in a couple of hours. I need two new electrical harnesses that will cost around $400 just for the parts plus installation. So i wont be seeing my car till friday at the earliest.
He also told me that when he checked the wiring, all the wiring behind my dash had been cut and respliced all over the place. I had gotten the car used at Carmaz.
Well thats it. I just wanted to let it all out and see if anyone else has seen anything like this.
Thanks.

By cut i mean that something was done to the wiring that goes to the ECU and to the engine and that all the wiring was then wired back together. And i think that my car has been in a serious accident before cus the rear end has been entirely repainted. Also the wiring siginifies that something serious has happend in the front too.

yeah...that's what i was thinking when i heard you said the harness was cut....
you dont usually have to splice major parts of the harness unless something major has happened to the car...
