CEL after 4 days of owning my 04'
I’ve had my 04' ex for a total of 6 days and 2 days ago I went to start it and the CEL came on. Im like WTF?!?! The car is 4 days old. Anyway called a Honda tech and he said it was most likely a misfire and it threw a code. I have an appointment on MON to see what code it threw. Just think that it’s stupid for a car to throw a code on the 4th day of owning it.

New cars have bugs... its just part of the fun. Go in monday and see what it is. Its most likely something dumb like a sensor malfunction or something was defective and the computer doesn't like it. I doubt its something aweful. If they think misfire, then maybe one of the coils wasn't manufactured right... but I don't think it'll be something worth worrying too much over.
Yeah, its pretty stupid that a civic, which I purchased for reliability is already throwing a code. My parents have a 4th gen Maxima with 140,000 miles thats never been to the shop. Before that they had a 92 MX-6 that was the same way. I also own a 00' Celica GT-S and its first trip to the shop was at 35,000 for a recall.
