Well when I try to put my car in reverse (I have a manual by the way) sometimes the stick won't go into reverse. Sometimes I try like 5 times. When it is like that I just rev the engine a little and then it pops right into reverse anyone got any ideas?

After the first try, did you put it back in neutral, disengage clutch, jiggle the shifter a bit ... and try again? Cuz lots of manual cars (not just ours) have this problem... and doing what I just mentioned usually cures it.

Or did you just keep trying to jam it into reverse 5 times while keeping the clutch pressed down all the time?

The reason (given by Honda mechanic) is that reverse gear does not have synchros. To get it into reverse, you have to shift into any one of the forward gears then shift into reverse again. Hope this helps.
