Help
Actually Rkotlowski was posting this for myself. I was driving down the freeway and everytime my RPM's got to 4000, the car started to lag and would stall unless I pushed the clutch in.
If I keep the car below 4000 RPM, it drives like normal and as though it is brand new.
Anyone got any ideas. Air flow, computer, ????????

hard to say, what year is ur civic?
I know 01 civic has recall to update the PCM, which lead to stall the engine at any given time...
may be the alternator wouldn't give power, and eventually stall the car and you put it in neutal...
but it doesn't do under 4000rpm for all gears? weird...

Robbie,
Thanks again for the post. To answer your question it happens in every gear at 4000 RPM. I went home last night and reset the ECU and everything appears to be perfectly fine, I went out for a rip and took the RPM's up to 5000 and no problems.
I think I may take the car up to Surrey Honda tomorrow and have computer checked.

Just remember if you take it there I think they may charge you for servicing!
Rob
You might have to go to richmond honda. I think that they are all francised dealerships.
