Humming/grinding in front end. Need help diagnosing!
Hi all,
I have a 2013 Civic LX sedan AT with about 110k. For the last few months I have had a significant humming/light grinding that is slightly audible at low speeds and then becomes significantly more pronounced around 42mph. If you turn left, the problem gets worse. If you turn right, it goes away nearly completely. The noise is pretty significant and it comes back in the 50’s mph range and then again at 80. All four tires are only about a year or so old, but the front left has SIGNIFICANTLY more wear. I searched a number of forums and I thought for sure it was a front wheel bearing. I just got the tools and replaced the driver’s side front wheel bearing and hub with OEM parts. The noise did not go away. Is there any chance it was actually the passenger side? Perhaps a CV joint? Please see the attached clip with audio. Thank you in advance!

Jack the front end up and start wiggling/spinning the wheels, should be pretty obvious where the problem is

Worn strut(s) could cause poor tire contact with the road, if that's what (tire cupping) you are hearing? Cupping causes:
http://casestudies.atlanticmotorcar....nd-correction/
When CV axle outer joints go bad they usually present with a clicking sound during full lock turns and the bad outer joint is making the wider radius (ex: left turn would cause a bad right front outer axle to click.).
When an inner CV axle fails it can cause shaking (out of balance), clunking during acceleration. CV axle tests: https://itstillruns.com/test-inner-c...t-7653747.html
