2007 Honda Civic EX - Valve Clearance
2007 Honda Civic EX - Valve Clearance
Hello All,
I need some help! I am a girl and tired of being ripped off! I need to get my valve clearance inspected. I was wondering how I do this. No, I will not be doing it myself but know someone that can possibly do it but I need some instructions on HOW?
Thank You

the valve clearance specs for your engine should be printed on the emissions engine sticker under the hood. for a general how-to for the older civic (01-05) you can look at this. basically the procedure is similar except the adjustment values will be different. its around a $150 job and MUST be done with the engine cold or you can cause serious problems. also valve adjustment is not recommended until 100k miles or if the engine is making excessive tapping.

I plan on doing mine soon, as my engine is screaming in pain for one. But I have yet to find a long feeler gauge, I'll prolly buy one of those small sets and a tube of hondabond and get started
