Oh my God---RUST!!!

I hadn't washed my car for a few weeks, and it was dirty as hell (road dirt, snow, salt, etc)..
So when I did wash it, I noticed quite a few small rust spots developing on top of little chips and nicks in the paint..

I looked through the warranty and they supposedly don't cover any rust caused by rock (paint) damage and stuff like that.
My car is only one and a half years old, and I can't believe its already starting to rust. I never thought this would happen! Now I know that its a must to wash my car at least bi-monthly..

Has this happened to anyone else?
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I had a rock chip in my fender but I touched it up before it rusted. I guess if your chips are really bad you now have a reason for custom paint!

you should touch those up asap. follow the touch up instruction in some thread, make sure it's completely cleaned out before you touch it up.

well....i have found rust on the rear bumper before (yes i know its plastic) from trains passing by, rail dust that gets stuck in the paint, then starts to rust. i just used a clay bar to remove the little metal specks, then used paint cleaner until the rust residue was gone.

yeah...2K1 here that was bought in November 2000. This is her 4th winter I guess. I've got the smallest bit on my hood where a rock got it. I'm not concerned about it since its getting repainted this spring. I'm more concerned about the underside of the car...

I KROWN rustproof the car religiously. Underside is still black!

What I'll do when the winter ends is replace some of the hardware and so on.

I used Eagle one nevr dull wadding on my exhaust and it took the rust off. Would probably work on paint, so you can put some touchup on afterwards.

i had tons and tons of tiny rust build up from the back bumper where the truck closes. if the rust is minor like mine try using the clay magic to get it out. i works for me, it should come right off.

hell..in the winter i wash my car when its warm enough for the snow to melt....if its colder it doesn't matter. Rust only grows if it is warm enought out for the snow to melt. During the summer.....I'm a supafreak....I wash my car almost everyday. If i see any dust I'll wash it and liquid wax the beotch....quikwax is good stuff between normal waxes.

The honda dealer or a Honda dealer online would be the best bet so you can color code match it bro.
