permenant water spots???
Okay so I just got down using the Mothers clay bar system to try to get rid of some damn waterspots that I have had on the paint for a long time, I am impressed with the way it cleaned the paint of contaminant and left the paint shiny and smooth BUT its didnt get rid of the water spots AHHH I even barred is twice. So now Im clueless. I have really bad water spots on a silver car and I really need to get rid of them. Please help I have been unsuscessful for a long time now.

You can try to wash the car using 3 parts car wash and 2 parts simple green. Fill the bucket with warm water. Wash the whole car down, and hose it off and dry it.
After the paint is cleaned. You can use 3m rubbing compund, or some sort of Body scrub(Paint Cleaner). Meguires or mothers makes an over the counter one. I would use the 3m rubbing compound if you can buy it. It is clearcoat safe and easy to use.
After you go over the whole car with the compound....(hopefully this works). You will need to apply glaze to the finish. I recommend 3m or Meguires. If you use the 3m, read the directions first. You are only supposed to wipe it on really good, and then wipe it off. Do not let it dry. After glazing, you need to apply a good coat of wax to the finish and then you are done.
If you cannot remove the water spots with rubbing compound then I recommed bringing it to a professional where they may have to wet sand your car. Expect to pay some money, if you do that. Also try not to park near the sprinklers.

I am in Atlanta too, You should find someone that has a high speed buffer with some mguiers or how ever you spell it...don't set the buffer on the spot or spots to long cause it will burn the paint. make sure the paint is not too hot when you do it.

if you use a fine rubbing compound, I use 3m rubbing compound, that should get rid of those spots and even scratches. I had alot, and I used the rubbing compound with my orbital buffer, and kabamo, those spots were gone, as well as 90% of the scratches that were on my hood.
